Inverness and its river.

Inverness and its river.
A look at Inverness from its River Ness here on 'Ness Bridge', looking North where it soon finishes and flows into the the Beauly and Moray Firths then into the North Sea. In front of us is the 'Crieg St' foot bridge and the town centre is to my right here with the castle on the hill behind me.

Enjoy.

Inverness and its its surroundings is quite wonderful Joe. An old town really but it has a modern feel to it. The river was quite fast on this day after much rain.

Good to see you again Steve. We had picnic in the grounds the last time we were here in 2014 but today we could not get near, for it was undergoing some renovation work.

Will never forget one dance festival at 11 pm 1968 in the city playing field with a splendid assistance of locals to see the traditional Scottish dances.

Nice to know that you enjoyed the Scottish dancing Jose. On this short trip to Scotland, we had a a cèilidh (Scottish dance session) on our last night in the hotel as it was Burns Night. Much Scottish Accordion music and Gay Gordon's danced not to mention a few drams downed! Very happy that this series has brought back pleasant memories my friend.

Such a beautiful view and a lovely sunny day..................this could have been taken in mid-summer Herb.

I really like the cloud formations and the ripples on the surface of the water............and there are some nice looking buildings on either side of the river. Very nice indeed.

After days of miserable weather, for a few hours it turned like this. The sun lit up the river and surroundings to show them off at their best. I was secretly hoping for perfect powder snow in our Highland village though. It was not to be and we heard it was the warmest such week in memory there. Of course, since coming back it has turned very cold and snowed heavily -typical!
