Rainy day learning This is almost two years to the day I did this with my Nikon 300mm Lens and Astro Camera ZWOASI071 MC pro. This the very same data as the first shot but it reflects a whole lot more learning and editing skills. All the hidded red nebula was brought out to fill the shot as it should have been .

stellarium.org

You can once the program gets on computer look at all these targets and where they sit relative to you. This is in the milky way not far from the Rosette nebula and the Dolphin Nebula not in the part of the Milky way I have photographed. it's quite easy to operate and look up targets.

The Southern Milky Way I see

More to the left of the photo you see above. Never going to take it these two part in them selves are huge the full size the computer just can not handle.

A big difference between the two shots Steve. I do like this later 'improved' version. Interesting to note the difference between this and your 105mm capture too. As always - both a credit to your patience, skills and equipment.

the learning is a never ending this with this type of photography like the 105 I do like the 300mm lens as well very well suited for this job. its so simple to use and you get stunning results. Our easter is wet but will be a nice break after out working this week.
