In A Galaxy Far Far Away

In A Galaxy Far Far Away
This is the night it all came true it was a trial under the moon. the computer program all worked so I just let it run. I was after NGC 300 is a spiral galaxy. It was off so just a star field but finally we have all the parts working perfectly. Next clear moon less night it will be the target.

I cant wait for a black night no moon like this night. None the less there are a lot of very small Galaxies in this shot well past my lens limit of 600mm more 1500mm or better.

It has not been with out it problems but getting it all together an a black night should prove it beyond doubt that I made the right choice. I has seemed I have been chasing my tail for some 6 months and clouds dont help.

BUT I am getting to the end of that long tunnel. Stay tuned.

Peter It has been a long road but its getting very near the end I would have liked another try at it but we are in for clouds, rain and great grandchildren. We have light pollution in our skies but i am look out in this case to where there is no light pollution If you look up

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bortle_scale

We are a Bortle 4 but the farm is a Bortle 2 about 1 1/2 hours from Perth so well out into the black.

HFF to you enjoy the weekend and importantly keep safe.

Toz at this point the only thing stopping me is my large battery is still coming to run the laptop and battery for the camera all night long. the blue light on the ground will run the mount all night long. HFF and hope you get the same chance and enjoy your weekend.

I am in awe, Steve!
By the way...recently lurking round Winton, where they are developing a specific dark sky viewing facility to try and bring more tourists ....it is affiliated with the Dinosaur museum. An ambitious project.

Keep well and have an enjoyable weekend!
Cheers

We have a few dark sky projects over here in the west but in general most of WA is great dark sky territory 1 hour away from the city. yes this is a home view and with a half moon as well not at all bad. you keep safe while I watch the up and coming problem of Port Headland.
