Sky Full of Stars- a shot for those who do not see stars what you are missing out on!

Sky Full of Stars- a shot for those who do not see stars what you are missing out on!
It was so black out here I could not resist a 360 degree shot of just the heavens and all those stars.

If you look to the trees on the Right you can see the red light on the battery back for the mount and the car in front where I slept. Do Look FULL SCREEN.

Nick It is amazing in your life time you have see the loss of all these stars through the gradual build up of light pollution. you would have enjoyed this spot they where so bright you felt you could almost touch them. the only down side is the fact that the lights from Perth are still visible in the shot which is 1h 1/2 away. glad it brought back a few good memories for you.

through covid 19 times here this was off limits to me as it was a different region to where I lived for a very long time we where limited to just our own region. I knew this farm would be good but did not ever get out now I can just got to get moon and clouds right together... watch this space.

Wow, that really is a massive panorama, Steve, and it's come out really well despite the lights of Perth. As a matter of interest, how many images were required for the stitching?

The the Tiff file is huge this is not . The best part is Its easy to do and work with there are 14 shots in the a lot more over lap at the join so it is a 100% round field of view so you can move the panorama to where you wanted the middle to be with no fear of a hitch at the main join of the ends. This is all taken In portrait mode.

The stars where so close you could touch them it was that black out there the wind in the trees and the grass. The sound of sheep and Lambs all night long once I turned in very early morning.
