First look at Orion.

First look at Orion.
This was a shot the came from December one I was not happy with for two reasons. when I was setting up to get the photos of Orion I felt the Head move (Horizontaly) as the lock handle came up underneath the level bubble on the head. what I thought was tight was not, so I moved head back the amount I thought it had moved.

the time was short as it was moon rise in 2 hours so I wanted to get 1 hours with of shots in the dark if I could. then a second set of darker photos to blend and balance out the bright spot but when the camera stopped after the hour then I noticed the movement in the frame of the Nebula. I went no further with the shots.

the noise was also not very good but I have recently purchased the new edition of Topaz DeNoise AI the shot is totally noise free. for people doing a lot of night shot highly recommend the program for its ability. on sale at the moment.

A juwel Steve, for me it is also the season to capture the Orionnebulae. Got plenty of them but it is always a challenge to get a better one.

my time is very limited with Orion as we see it so fleeting so when things go wrong in a discipline like this it seems the world turns up side down. I have sat on this not wanting to post as I wanted to do it right but an image that is so very right

An impressive capture of Orion, Steve. I haven't even considered taking the camera out at night since last year, but hopefully some time soon. I'm following up your tip re Topaz too.

Excellent capture!
From Panoramio (now Flickr) I know a fellow countryman of yours, who also takes nice astronomy pictures. Maybe you know him ► Roger Powell.

Yes I am, well aware of Roger from Panoramio and from Flickr. I look and dream over his gear, mine is not as expensive and a little bit more simpler. This is not what i wanted to put up but through circumstances all I could show. Astro photography is all about learning you never stop and its always a great buzz it never ceases to Amaze me. So many thanks..
