Today's Sunday Challenge: How Are You Coping With The Lock Down/Stay At Home Order.

We live in a village, and every day since the lockdown we have managed to go out for walks in the countryside. The beauty of nature has, as always, been my salvation, and I have made a collection of photos under the album title 'Walking with nature'.

Wild Orchid

I have also kept sane doing gardening and reading. The garden was supposed to open under the National garden Scheme, but that won't happen this year now.

WALKING WITH NATURE

Georges., Gabi Lombardo, Gillian Everett, Wierd Folkersma and 13 other people have particularly liked this photo

Two beautiful photos Amelia................the wild orchid is definitely my favourite though.

We haven't been out walking that much yet, but I don't know how we'd have managed without a garden. Now we can "drive to walk" we hope to get out in the countryside a bit more, but not anywhere too busy and we're not rushing it!

We drive out for about 6 miles every 2-3 days, for a canal walk. The rest of the time we walk locally and have two or three variations. We also have a garden so we are lucky. Like you we avoid any areas that are likely to be busy. Watching crowds at the coast or demonstrating in cities looks very foolhardy to say the least, and I worry in case the new cases and deaths rise again because of this.

The flag iris is invasive to US wetlands, but I find that they are so beautiful.
