The town has become quite popular Nouchet. I was pleased to see that there were no empty shops. The past is more interesting to me....I am pleased you enjoy the trips too ;-))

En el comercio moderno, el trato es otro, muy frio, no digamos en compras por Internet, donde en su principal exponente acaba de anunciar el despido de 18000 empleados. Yo nunca le compré. Prefiero las cercanías, ver el producto y tratar con personas amables.

Oooh, I do like a village with an anagram of my name :-))

Captured in lovely light Rosa.........especially on the stonework where you can see all the tones and textures. I like the old King George VI post box which draws the eye nicely. I also like the shop sign and the white swan.

There are many letter boxes set in walls here. There is one in my village and I pass two more on my drive to town. When I was a child I used to want to live in a house with a letter box....strange child ;-)) I do remember your from Baden-Baden.

And don't all houses have letter boxes? Here they do...well, unless you live in the north 40 ;-)))

I mean post boxes owned by the post office, the red ones. There are many still set in walls and fences. Yes you're right we all have letter boxes in our front door :-)

The "hatch" next to the post box is where the stamp machines once were. I think they were removed a long time ago though.

I never thought about a stamp machine I've not seen one of those for a long while, I kept wondering if it was something to do with parcels
