This is rather nice Rosa. Love blackbirds but we have less here nowadays as neighbours take away more and more trees. I presume this is your second camera and a very nice take from it too , with this blurred background. Well done.

Thank you Herb. We have a lot of hedges around the garden so there always seems to be a blackbird about. Sometimes the front hedge almost moves with the chirping of many sparrows who sit in it! Yes it's a second camera I keep handy.

Beautiful use of DOF with lovely colours, I have an ornamental crab tree the fruit is very small but they are eating them I have been told they are not English Blackbirds their beaks are slightly darker. A lot of berries are said to foretell of a hard Winter I hope it's not true !! Enjoy the remainder of your evening and make a good start to your week Rosalyn

One thing that is constant in my garden is that we always have blackbirds and robins. I would be very worried if I didn't see them for a day or two. The cotoneaster by my window always has lots of berries, so hope that's not true Peter :-)

The presence of the glass creates pleasant streaks and does not disturb the photo. I like the contrast between the dark plumage and the red of the flowers, all very sharp!
