I think it is the lesser celandine Roger. Very pleased you like the set, thank you.

For Roger: Ficaria verna - lesser celandine. Very common and a real pest in gardens.
A lovely walk and super set of photos for a ten minute period, Rosa.

Ooh, I answered Roger before I saw your comment Amelia, but pleased to see that I got it right ;-) At one time I was pulling them out from all over the garden! The bright weather helped with the photos....we had a very keen wind though! I was quite glad to get home.

Love the name and the flowers! You are lucky to have cowslips growing! When I was a kid there used to be plenty, now they are nearly all gone because of overfertilizing...

Celandiine, periwinkle and cowslips, a real treat. Cowslips have appeared in quantity in the nature reserve at Birnie in the last few years. Don't think they'll be out yet but we're not allowed to drive for our walk anyway.

I was pleased to see so many cowslips Jean. Such pretty flowers. We are not allowed to drive for walks either. It makes me appreciate the fields and walks around me.

Lovely Spring flowers although I agree about then in the garden, it's those little nodules that fall off !! any idea why Love Lane ? maybe someone called Love lived there in the dim and distant past. It doesn't say if your exercise is 10 minutes or miles !!! mine is a 5 minute bike ride (up hill ) but then I have to rest !! on the allotment :))) it is permitted

I don't know why it is named Love Lane, but there are two in the village, which is a little confusing for delivery drivers. I think it must have been a continuous track but now is joined just by a public footpath. Definitely not 10 miles Peter! Keep on cycling up the hill and tending the allotment!
