Two fantastic photos Rosa..!!

The main image is really brilliant...........I love the tiny birds, they look superb silhouetted against that amazing sky..!! I could see that as a huge canvas hanging on a wall somewhere.

The 2nd image is just as good............the light is wonderful and I love the pastel colours in the sky and the vibrant green tones in the landscape. A stunning rural scene!

The birds were circling above me very quickly Keith, and I took many shots to get this half decent one, so I am very pleased with your kind comment, thank you.

The second shot was into that kind of light where you cannot see what you are taking! I was trying to get the church in the picture, but in the end was just pleased with the sky and managing to get the cows in the shot. Thank you for your very kind comments here as well.

That sky is amazing and the birds make the shot. I'd certainly have that on my wall any day. Lovely light in your second shot too. You are lucky to live in such beautiful surroundings.

Thank you Jean. It was taken with the camera looking directly up towards the sky...and I couldn't see a thing! I do feel very lucky to have some very nice walks very close to home.

Thank you Peter. It was a beautiful sky after the beautiful Sunday weather. Yes I would say they are cirrus. I remember so well learning about clouds in Geography at school. The Observer books always come in handy, and what a bargain at 5/-

I stood watching them for some time José, and someone in a nearby village has racing pigeons. We have a horse racing course nearby and they often hold pigeon racing competitions when racing is out of season. Thank you for your question and kind comments.

Racing pigeons do fly bvery fast, Rosa, and you were lucky to get this photos. I really like the background sky.

I was very lucky Amelia!! I wasn't sure whether I got them or not! The sky was amazing...I was very pleased with that! When there is no racing at Wincanton Race Course, they have a lot going on, including Pigeon racing.

I like this simple picture very much! Despite the apparent simplicity, you have managed to set the camera to freeze the action perfectly, something I hardly ever manage to do! They are usually too fast for me to track properly... Admiration!!
