Thank you Doug. It's an ugly thing isn't it! I thought it was a honey bee at first until I saw those eyes!

A great macro shot, Rosa. The shallow depth of field is perfect for making the subject pop out from the background. Cheers, Joe

Thank you for your kind comments Joe. I wish it had been a honey bee but I read that they don't like mint plants. Cheers, Rosa.

A splendid shot Rosa.

The deer park is just West of Crewkerne. If you take the Lyme Regis road out of Crewkerne for about 2 miles you turn right at the entry sign for Clapton, the turning is almost hidden and the road is very narrow. If you pass under a railway arch you will know that you are going in the right direction. Good luck.

Thanks very much Jeff. I know that road and will check it out very soon.

It didn't move very much Sarah, unlike the bees and butterflies I have tried to capture! An ugly beast though isn't it ;-)) Have a lovely new week ~ Rosa.

A great shot Rosa and many thanks for posting to Fur, Fin and Feather.

A PS on the Deer Park - I am known to the owner and most of his helpers so if you wish to mention my name please do so. There is no entry fee but a donation is considered very helpful.
