Both outside and inside looks good and rather restrained for a Victorian building:-)

I love the angle from which you have photographed the kirk, Rosa. The low viewpoint emphasizes the height of the tower.

The perspective in the interior shot is very pleasing. The two seated figures accentuate the scale of this magnificent edifice.

Cheers,

Joe

Thank you Joe. The church did stand high and proud in the middle of the village. I am pleased you like the interior shot. Sometimes people do come in handy!

Cheers, Rosa.

As Joe has said, a well chose PoV for the outside shot and good depth provided by the perspective for the interior image. Nicely done Rosa.

All the best, Doug

Thank you Doug. Interior shots are often so difficult with the height and arches and so often they are dark, but with all the windows this interior was very light.

Best wishes, Rosa.

A nicely composed shot Rosalyn, it looks quite large for a Parish Church. A well in the front garden sounds very rustic, a Privy in the back garden ???? how is the sunbathing cooking gently

It is large for the size of the village and it is actually the second church built there in the same century. The first one is now a private residence and not as imposing as this one.
Unfortunately no privy at the back Peter. My daughter is the lucky one there with her 200 year old cottage. No sunbathing with my colour skin, but a nice afternoon in the summer house!

Hi Rosa,

Nice composition here, and well taken interior.
I like the inclusion of the wall, just to give it something to sit on!
A bit different from gravestones!

Best wishes
Peter

Hi Peter,

It hadn't occurred to me that there were no gravestones at the front of the church until John mentioned it. An interesting point. Thank you very much for your kind comments too.

Best wishes, Rosa.
