The Clock Tower and War Memorial in the centre of Mere in south Wiltshire, very close to Stourhead House and Gardens. The white building behind is The George and in the background is Castle Hill.

There's always something Amelia. I did take a picture cutting that side of the road out but decided on this one to show the bigger picture. I can't believe this used to be a main road! thank goodness for the A303.

I expect you by-passed it on the A303 Gudrun. It is soon after you go back on the main road from Stourhead. It is a pretty little town with lots of small lanes to investigate.
