Now I have to search for Holkham Hall....looks like a lovely place to visit Rosa!

It was one of the highlights of my trip to Norfolk Tanja. The family still live in the beautiful house. It was so friendly and interesting with the fallow deer, the Field to Fork museum and the vast parkland. Thank you for your very kind comments.

Nice Palladian style.

Gorgeous aren't they....I was thinking about the same in my front room! Maybe a little over the top though ;-))

The great thing about Palladian was that it was an unfussy style compared with what went before, so I wouldn't say OTT, just classical and compositional perfection ... so why not go straight ahead? ...

The wall in backlight creates a special atmosphere and nice contrast with the outdoor light.
