I thought it might have gone in the box! That would have made a good picture. There is a feeder with meal worms in on the bird table...this was the first course for breakfast ;-)
Have a good sunny day Peter.

Hey Rosa, great photos of your little visitor. But its so interesting that we have this little bird here also, and it is a "Finch"... I will look and see if I can find more about this. So your birds get down into the box with food. Ive not tried that here, just use the hanging feeders, that might be something I will try :) kind wishes, Sarah ~~ YS

Hi Sarah, there is a north American robin but it is bigger than our native one and although it has a red breast, it looks quite different....you'll have to look it up. We also have finches. Our robin as with most of them prefer to feed from the ground, so I scatter some in the mornings for them.
Best wishes, Rosa.

Yes Rosa, our Robin "Red Breast" IS a larger bird with his stomach area red! and as said before your Robin looks sooo much like our Finch, :),,, Sarah

Terrific collection of shots of this brave Robin. I love the way it is almost standing on tiptoe to see into the container, Very nicely captured, Rosa.

All the best, Doug

Yes he was really straining to look inside the container Doug. He stares through the window if breakfast is late!! Thanks for your kind comments.

Best wishes, Rosa.

Hi Rosa,

Very nice picture of the little robin. They certainly seem quite tame at times, especially for food!

Best Wishes
Peter

Hi Peter,

This one is still around but the partner seems to have disappeared. Robin's do seem to be very friendly :-)

Best wishes, Rosa.
