Thank you Nick. The horse must have been one of the favourites to warrant such a position.

I presume this would not normally be open to the public, was it an open day? Very impressive.

We were told by the stewards that the Queen will often stay in one of the cottages but it seems to me that it is open to the public most of the time. The gardens since 1908, museum since 1930 and the house from 1977. There is also a road going through the estate. I did notice some security cameras, but that is a must nowadays. Thank you for your great comments.

My first time visiting Sandringham Tanja. I have been to Norfolk before and liked it very much....if you ever visit, please avoid Great Yarmouth! Cromer was beautiful and I will be putting pictures of it soon. I am still looking through them at the moment :-))

Hello Rosa a lovely series of shots from the Queens humble abode in Norfolk .. it looks like she even has to sit outside on a bench to get a phone signal :))

Best wishes ... Steve

Hi Rosa,

Very nice picture, and my thought was the same as Steve's.. Her Majesty is sitting on the bench with a red coat on...
Unfortunately she wasn't there on the day I visited. Had to visit Parliament or some such excuse...!

Best Wishes
Peter

That the Queen has a horse sculpture doesn't surprise me at all, Estimate has probably earned her quite a bit of money;-)

There was a programme on TV last Sunday about Sandringham and they showed the lady sculptor who was chosen to do this sculpture. It was so interesting to see her working on it.
