Good morning Rosalyn, is it warm and sunny in your bit of the country ? it's very still the turbines are stationary, the museum looks good i prefer things like that to the grand houses, I would like some of those hand tools !! enjoy your day

Good morning Peter, it's very hot here today! The museum was great and the man in there very informative. I have to say this was one of the most enjoyable country houses and all that went with it that I have ever visited. I would recommend it to anyone.

Holkham Hall must have been quite a place with 25,000 acres! Interesting detail images.

It is quite a place still and is owned by the same family who had it built. They seem to be very well liked and respected by the workforce and they still live in the house. I'm sure they need the visitor's money to help keep it going, but to me it was well worth the visit.
