Stansted Park Woods
Taken yesterday afternoon during a quick walk. I went on a recce to check out the places I normally find bluebells, but I think I'm a bit too early.

Berny, Jean Paul Capdeville, trester88, Jean-luc Drouin and 19 other people have particularly liked this photo

You will have to try next week then, take a photo in the same location so we can see evolution.
Here all so dry, usual April rainfalls, the last ones of rain season, just did not occur neither are forecasted.

I'm away for most of next week visiting family, so it will have to be after I come back. Hopefully they'll be out by then.

I think the seasons everywhere are really muddled at the moment. The weather forecasters are having great trouble in working it out, I think.

No horses in these woods..........it's a conservation area with lots of tree felling and replanting going on. Walkers only at the moment.

I think nature appears to be running at least a couple of weeks late this year Keith. Hopefully given some warmer weather, normality will soon return!

I think you're right Ed.............but I'm not quite sure what normality is at the moment.

I think a lot of flowers are late this year. Usually I have my bluebells flowering in March, but they didn't come out until yesterday. It's great to hear that there's a lot of replanting going on in those woods. I hope you have a great week

They seem to be Jenny............mid April is when I normally find bluebells growing locally. I have some Spanish ones in the garden, but I really want to see the English ones in the woods.

Have a good new week yourself.

I think our spring is a bit ahead of yours despite the lack of sun - quite a few bluebells out around here and a lot of leaves too.

Lovely shot Keith, even without leaves and bluebells!!

I think you're right Maggie.............I have quite a few of the Spanish variety in my garden, but they're not a patch on the English ones.

Glad you like the shot...........and thank you,.

Noch kann man weit in den Wald hineinschauen. Die Glockenblumen werden bald blühen.
