The Dalles High School (#0264)
The Dalles High school, a wonderful example of Streamline Moderne architecture – with very little documentation. After hours of searching, the only thing I could find is a date of 1940 for when the building was completed and that the architect was John W Maloney: www.dahp.wa.gov/sites/default/files/Maloney%20Project%20list_3.pdf
The style of architecture is similar to other high schools that were built towards the end of the Depression with New Deal funds, but a search of New Deal resources did not provide any information linking this building to New Deal funding.
