Cascade Locks (#0240)
Cascade Locks, the town, is named after the locks that were completed in 1896 for passage around a set of rapids that were here. The locks (the lock mechanisms) were submerged by the lake that formed with Bonneville dam; shown here is a channel running through what was the locks. The bridge is the Bridge of the Gods; see nearby pictures focused on it.
