Little Bighorn Natl Mon MT Indian Memorial (#0469)

Little Bighorn Natl Mon MT Indian Memorial (#0469)
At the Indian Memorial at Little Bighorn Battlefield. For 127 years the monument honored the Americans who died at Little Bighorn, largely leaving out the story of the Indian's who died in the battle to preserve their territory and way of life. The memorial was dedicated in 2003.

(A family had stopped to take pictures of the kids (the parents are to my right). They remained oblivious for quite some time that others were trying to take pictures. Rather than stir up my frustration with tourists by trying to persuade them to move, I left the kids in the picture and then left the park. Little Bighorn was my last stop at a tourist-laden location.)

I've got this Phtotoshop trick I use sometimes, though it probably wouldn't have worked here. If, say, there are a lot of people milling about something I want a picture of without people, I stand in the same spot a while and shoot pictures as people move. If I get enough shots, I can clone everybody out and create a myth of solitude. I erased dozens of people from Bodie that way.

This probably wouldn't have worked here, though, as it sounds like these kids were here to stay.

Murderer!! Willingly erasing folk! Of course, my preference would be to ship the folk away so I could actually have solitude!
