Moccasin MT school (#0422)
Unique abandoned building in Moccasin, MT. The building has the shape and appearance of a standard public school, but two things seem odd about it. For one, Moccasin is a tiny town and per Wikipedia it has been repeatedly hit by fires over the years, thus the school building seemed simply too large for the size of the town. More interesting though is the metal ornamentation on the tops and front, including coats of arms, that you don't normally see on public school buildings. The only documentation of the building that I could find is a picture of a class (link below) from an unknown time. The information with the picture describes it as a high school, but the ages of the students look to cover a wider range than would be the case for a high school. www.mtmemory.org/cdm/singleitem/collection/p103401cmhp/id/2593/rec/224
