Visitors while at the top of Pompey's Pillar -- two bald eagles. Their flight patterns suggested that they may have had a nest next to the river, which is just out of view on the left side of the picture.

It's really amazing to me just how common bald eagles have become in the last decade. I don't think I ever saw one in the wild until 2005 or so. Now I see several a year.

I see more raptors in general than I used to, but then I'm out in the country more and now live on the edge of wilderness.
