Pompeys Pillar National Monument MT (#0493)

The stairs up to Clark's signature (there's some people barely visible at the viewing platform) and then, to the right side of the picture, the stairs to the top of the pillar. There happened to be a guided tour leaving at the time that I was there, so I took it. The guide turned out to be exceptional, providing good detail about the formation itself, Clark's activities in the area, and the histories of the tribes in the area.
