I'm glad my photos/descriptions have been interesting, it has been interesting discussing them with others.

I've actually been home for quite some time, it just took a long time to get through all of the pictures that I thought would be interesting. And, I'm not done yet. I decided to pare down what I was posting and then will, over the next year, be filling in.

My next European trip (this Fall) will be somewhat split. I will again use Berlin as a base. The first part, before the days get too short, will be the Baltics. I hope to see some remnants of the Soviet times while exploring, though I just read that Lithuania is knocking down Soviet statues. Also, I've wanted to get back to Amsterdam since it was a favorite haunt when I was stationed in Germany in 1969, so I'll be going there and to some nearby WWI and WWII sites on the latter end of the trip.
