Darmstadt Stadtkapelle (#0129)
Pulling together the information from two Wikipedia sites (one is in German) listed below, the memorial is labeled Stadtkapelle (chapel town?) and is the most central memorial to WWII in Darmstadt. The largest raid on Darmstadt was an aerial bombing raid by the RAF (British Royal Air Force) on 11/12 September 1944 which destroyed most of the dwellings in the center of the city, killed 12,300 inhabitants and left 66,000 homeless. Possibly one of the reasons that the memorial is not well identified is that the air raid was a sensitive issue due to the extensiveness of damage to a city that was not an industrial center (see the second Wikipedia page).
