Coaches parked at Edinburgh Castle – 2 Aug 1997 (366-3)
Saturday 2 August 1997 – The Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle has been a parade ground since the mid-1700s and is where the famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is staged. Seating for the event, held each August, was already in place.

Five coaches were on site, left to right:

F349 TSC, a Mercedes-Benz mini-coach lettered for Scotline Tours and Capital Coaches, two businesses in the Austin Travel Group.

A Neoplan (Spaceliner N117?) of Artmeier Reisen from Bernried, Germany (approximately 100 miles/160 km north east of Munich)

Unidentified Jonckheere bodied coach possibly Mairs Coaches of Aberdeen (GRT Group livery style)

Lothian Region Transport 75 (N75 CSX), a Caetano Algarve bodied Dennis Javelin new in October 1995

Kenzie’s of Shepreth L53 REW, a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M in Globus Tours contract livery tucked in at the far end of the line.
