Mulleys Motorways WCF 99 (BC09 NBC) in Barton Mills - 18 Sep 2020 (P1070705)

Friday 18 September 2020 (0801) – As part of the Covid-19 Coronavirus precautions, Suffolk County Council is providing additional funding to support the operation of shadowing vehicles on journeys relating to school transport.

Double deckers are normally employed solo on the service but shadowing here is WCF 99, a Van Hool Acron bodied Volvo B12BT new in March 2009 to New Bharat, Southall registered BC09 NBC. The double decker today was YN04 UJR, former Nottingham City Transport 741 an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD new in June 2004.

The building on the right, White Lodge, was the local nursing home many, many years ago which saw the birth of many Barton Mills babies!
