Towler's of Brandon PCF 646M at Ely - 27 Dec 1984 (849-5)

Thursday 27 December 1984 – Towler’s Coaches of Brandon PCF 646M, a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRT new in April 1974, seen parked in Ely.

Parked alongside is Harrington Grenadier bodied AEC Reliance HLP 10C which was new to Surrey Motors in July 1965. Operated by Premier Travel Services from May 1974 to April 1980 it was sold to Bird's Coaches of Ongar without being repainted. In 1983 it was acquired by Geoff Cochrane and was preserved in the livery of Surrey Motors livery which it carried until circa 1990. Around that time it was restored to Premier Travel colours.
