Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 28-32mm.

Another distinctive species which is common throughout the UK. In Cornwall, the population seems to be biased towards the east of the county possibly because it inhabits woodland, which is more widespread there.

The flight season in Cornwall ranges from March to June with a distinct peak in April.
