1732 Scotopteryx chenopodiata (Shaded Broad-bar)
Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 32-38mm.

Less common than the other "Carpets" in Cornwall, it is considered a widespread species in the UK. Most commonly occurring in July and August, occasional specimens may sometimes be seen from April to October. It inhabits hedgerows and grassy areas, and can come into gardens if near to those areas.
