1736 Catarhoe cuculata (Royal Mantle)

Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 24-28mm.

A species which is locally distributed in the main to the east of Cornwall. It occurs in areas adjacent to woodland, but mainly where shrubs are scattered in grassland.

The flight season is between June and August, peaking in July.
