The ham radio operators say that their intentions are peaceful, but the fox looks a bit skeptical.

Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and walnuts; egg bacon and walnuts; egg bacon sausage and walnuts; walnuts bacon sausage and walnuts...
Etc.

This employee clearly knows her robotics. I hope there's a lost series of photos where she's whisked away from her boring life in LA to become Doctor Who's companion.

I wonder if the "Fruit Balls" recipe was the secret inspiration for the "Walnut Fig Dough Surprise" as featured on Animaniacs. (Maybe its "cathartic" qualities inspired a certain cereal ad parody, as well.)

The bird's quite modestly proportioned. This is definitely from before the era of shooting hormones and antibiotics into everything in sight.

The structures look so imposing, and yet the coloring looks so pretty! That's what I love most about this school of commercial illustration.

"Competition is the life of bridge clubs..."
Yeah, somebody get Tarantino on the phone. I totally want to see this as the setting for his next film.

This thing is forty pages long, so there's a whole lot of preaching the Gospel of the Nut going on. But the pictures sure are nice.

Despite the title, there's not an actual chapter about decorating clocks with walnuts. Yeah, I was sad, too.

So today's lesson (apart from the usual "Ooh, Shiny!") is: Expensive booze over cheap fruit, for the win!
I need to find and post an ad that says just the opposite. Otherwise, the universe won't stay in balance.

Mrs. America looks unimpressed, to say the least, about the movie being cross-promoted here. (No, I didn't have the guts to go research George Gobel's film debut and its impact on American culture. You do it.)
But the blouse is cute. Even if touting it as perfect for a formal dance ensemble seems a bit much...

From the March issue of Everywoman's magazine. Likely Cupid was slated to appear in the February issue, but rejected the whole "pea shooter" thing as undignified. See the mostly-obscured face? Nope, definitely not the real Cupid.

I have a buddy whose spent most of his life in this part of town (though I don't think that he's ever worked at Alpenrose). He's drawn countless maps of the area full of cheesy (no pun intended) jokes that only locals would get. So I can never look at this map without giggling.

The real "amber" bottle was the same color as a standard beer bottle, if the photos I've seen are to be believed.
