A Barbon Adventure

A Barbon Adventure
We are back in Cumbria/South Lake District, so come along on an adventure along Barbon Beck through the woodlands of Barbon Manor. Along the hill sides we have new tree plants with foxgloves too. Yes the world is alive today, soon we will come to the church of Barbon village.

See PiP for another connection.

Keep safe. Herb

Hi Toz. Yes an area which I for one do not really connect with the Lake District which it is just about in. This round path, which we started upstream about a mile from here, where the road runs along the beck with parking places too, is quite a good round. Well worth a visit tied in with Kirby Lonsdale.

Enjoy the week. Herb

A lovely woodland path and a beautiful capture Herb, the bench hasn't seen much use of late!

Always good to have you with me on these walks Roger. The bench was in memory of the local Postmistress of Barbon village 1917-1988.

Enjoy the week too. Herb

Beautifully composed as always Herb. I love the foxgloves in the foreground - I've rarely seen them in such numbers in the wild. A nice leading line from the path too - taking our eyes nicely towards those beautiful trees.

A nice looking (but neglected) bench in the PiP as well (even though I've seen it before)...........so I'll also wish you a Happy Bench Monday. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hi Keith, yes the fox gloves grew in abundance here, maybe planted with the trees in this Manor woods with a public path. Just as we finished the forest part it bucketed it down.

The bench -yes that was taken just after the church which comes tomorrow.

Keep healthy and HBM to you too. Herb

The foxgloves look beautiful on the slope Herb. They add some colour to the already beautiful scene. I also remember your picture in PiP, so HBM from me too.

Take care and have a good week.

Thanks Carol. It was a fine little walk. We had to shelter under a big oak tree from a torrential downpour just some minutes after taking this. Yes, the bench was used on July 6. (thought I would give benches a rest this week :) )

Belated HBM, enjoy your week. Herb
