The West Sands. St.Andrews

It's such a vast beach, I love the structures in the sand! On our visit there we were told about Chariots of fire:-)

When the tide is out there is a huge amount of sand here, Keith. It's a very safe beach for children as there are no sudden nasty shelves. I learned to swim here. ;-)

The film is uplifting Gudrun, but rather fanciful in places. The runners eventually jump over the fence onto the first and eighteenth holes of the Old Course, in front of the the Roayl and Ancient Golf Club where my mother did part time work in the bust season. That fence may appear on Friday. ;-)
