Gathering dust

Gathering dust
TSC, Feather or feathers. 22/01/2017

This is part of a feather duster I've had for years, and is never used these days. I knew it was somewhere in the house, and found it gathering dust in the loft. :-)

Ste, Amazingstoker, Eve, Shuttering Yukon and 14 other people have particularly liked this photo

It was, Sami. The duster has now been relegated to the recycling bin. TSC is a wonderful way to dispose of unwanted objects. ;-)

Of course it was gathering dust in the loft, I mean that's what feather dusters are supposed to do isn't it - lol! ;)

Seriously, a lovely shot as is the one in the Notes too! :)

By the time I'd finished taking about 7 photos of the feathers, there were bits of feather all over the carpet, Paul. The whole thing is now destined for the relegation zone. ;-)

Thank you, Dida. The duster created lots of bits of feathers. I think I prefer dust!

In the shaking of the dust off these feathers, I was creating lots of mess - there were bits of broken feather everywhere, Christel. Alas this feather duster has been cosigned to the recycling. box.

many thanks, Chris. before i started I didn't realise what a mess I'd make of the carpet. The Sunday Challenge certainly keeps me going on a dreary Sunday. ;-)

Wow, you really owned a feather duster? I heard of the things but have never seen one until now:-) Both photos have such lovely details!
Your decription of the bits of feather on the carpet reminds me of the fox stole I inherited- hairs all over the place;-)

I did own a feather duster, Gudrun, and it was useful for dusting round delicate objects without having to move them. Pure laziness really!
My mother and aunts all had animal fur collars complete with claws, which they wore at weddings. Both my grannies work them on Sundays when they went to church. Rather macabre really. ;-)

Gudrun club has replied to Amelia club
Mine doesn't have claws but the head of the fox with glass eyes, it fastens at the mouth;-) These days feather dusters are synthetic, I have a gaudliy coloured one and as you say, it's lazy;-)

Thank you, Harriet. The feathers are now totally inadequate foe gathering dust, and made a huge mess on the carpet. ;-).

Ha ha...how ironic Amelia! I thought it was a feather from an expensive boa ;-)

Amelia club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne club
if only I had the occasion to wear a feather boa, Rosa, or even a posh frock to go with it. Those days are gone now, along with this old feather duster. ;-)
