You should have been there, Nick. Mermaids by the 100s had gathered here - apparently waiting for the mating rituals. The mermen apparently had forgotten to arrive. I sent them a quick text message as a reminder. ;-)

I used to see this coast on the flight to Aberdeen (once a year in the 90s on business) and it looked nice from the air - I always wondered what it was like from the ground! Now I know! And very nice it looks too!

It's a great place for walking, Andy. What were you doing in Aberdeen? We nearly moved to that area about 10 years ago. Adrian decided against taking the job, and i was very disappointed not to be returning to the land of my birth.

It was very boring, Amelia. I used to go and hold annual advice clinics on an oil company's staff benefits package and pension scheme for it's employees and directors. Well, you did ask!!!!

We did go down to this beach, Gudrun, and there were some lovely coloured pebbles. We had hoped to spot some dolphins too, but sadly .... we didn't.
