A very slippery bridge in a beautiful area. I did try to walk over it, but was holding onto the rails and sliding everywhere, so turned back, and we went over by car.

They were all shivering under the bridge, Nick. I did try to trip-trap over here, but failed. Too slippery.

The lady toll keeper did warn me about walking across, Gudrun, and knew we were going to be crossing here by car, so I didn't get charged the 20p. It was worth crossing here for 70p as it cuts a corner off the route. ;-)

Thank you, Tanja. The back-lighting was too strong for the exposure I used, but we didn't have a lot of time to stay here, so I had to be content with what this photo. ;-)

I think most people bypass this and keep to the main roads to save 70p for the toll, Graham. ;-)

It looks like the bridge is completely made of wood, so its clear that its the rain (or fog) that makes it slippery.

It was very frosty here, Reinhard, and the wooden surface of the bridge was treacherous. It would probably be bad in wet weather too.

I have to say that I was surprised just hoiw slippery the bridge was, George. It didn't look to bad when I tried and failed to get across on foot.
