June 1, 2018I have some unfortunate news to bring to you all: the beloved South Main Street 13.8/4.8 kV distribution line in Waterbury, Connecticut has met its demise. EVERSOURCE Energy has replaced every single pole on that line from 1077 to 2180 South Main Street. All the new poles feature fiberglass arms and 35 kV visetops. May 28, 2018I hit a rather large milestone today: my 10,000th photo uploaded onto Ipernity! I hope everyone has enjoyed my digital power line photos as much as I have enjoyed taking them over the past seven years. Northeast Utilities has re-organized under a new name, 'EVERSOURCE Energy'. This also coincided with a transition to a new distribution pole construction style that utilizes fiberglass crossarms and 35kV Hendrix visetops on all conductor types.
