Total lunar eclipse
As I noted with my late night posting last night, we had a total lunar eclipse. This would be the longest I've seen, with the moon in total eclipse almost 1.5 hours and the overall event 5.5 hours! The moon became very dark indeed - this has the brightness boosted (check the ISO). Photos from the before and after are in the PiPs. View full screen.
It seems this will be the last total lunar eclipse to be seen anywhere until 2025.

Was cloudy here until maximum dark with a freeeezzzing wind. I saw its beauty hanging up there against the more distant dark sky with the 10/50 binoculars for a minute then left it to get its brightness back.
Wünsche noch einen schönen Nachmittag, ganz liebe Grüße Güni :))
We had a total eclipse serveral years ago in the middle of the night and I messed up the photos because I forgot to set the camera beforehand and then was too tired ro do it right;-)
Many thanks for your visits, comments and yellow stars. I apologize that I've not been able to visit Ipernity as often as I'd like..
Nice to see that you got to see the eclipse this time. We had ours in January 2019.
I have a couple of pics in my 'Moon' album www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/album/1047510
Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!
Peter
