Falling flowers

Falling flowers
Heavy rain over the past few days (about 150mm) with some wind has damaged many of the flowers on the camellias, leaving a carpet of petals.

Your surviving camelia is such a smooth, delicate, perfect rosette, George, and the rain has at least the merit of brightening up the dark red of the fence. I really like its color in contrast to the carpet of white petals and bright green back ground.

A very well maintained fence with not a sign of rust anywhere. Such a pity about the camellias. It's pouring down here too, and the cherry blossom petals are lying thick on the road.
