Red wattle bird

Red wattle bird
A Red Wattlebird (Anthrochaera carunculata) interrupted from its feast on nectar from the gum blossoms. The name is for the red wattles hanging just below where the ears should be. Tokina RMC 200/3.5 .

Many thanks ~erin~, I don't know the size of hummingbirds but I suspect these are a little larger (these are about 31-39cm). But yes, that red eye and hanging red wattles are quite distinctive.
