From May 2013 through November 2015, the month he passed away, John, known here as MewDeep6, was a very active member here. He shared photography of the Chicago area, but as an artist and designer, his passion was sharing old paper ephemera, pop culture and ads, which were an influence on him. He started his page on another popular photo site, and brought it here when that site's redesign displeased him. He loved it here. It is because of him I moved here, and I have heard two other people say the very same thing.

His large page, which was being paid for yearly by his sister and I, was deleted by someone here in 2018. The effect of that is still felt. It was his memorial online, through which his memory was being kept alive for the world at large, and for those who knew him. (In the three years immediately after his passing, his page views continued growing, because so many sites around the net referenced his research and the collecting reflected in his pages.)

It is impossible to be too careful before deleting a page. If you don't know, please ask quite a few people. Or better yet, make any proposed deletion of an account a public question, in a team thread.

I too miss the spacemouses page. I hope no one deletes the Stormlizard pages.
