Picture taken in 2012

Before I made my final choice for '10-Week Picture Projects: Bark', I first uploaded even seven pictures: www.ipernity.com/tag/serola/keyword/39970

Every now and then I have personal theme weeks, and on that week the theme was to photograph seven different genus of trees and try to include not just the bark, but also as much of the tree itself as possible. I first used an old "nature photography book approach" to have a close up on one side, and another tree of same genus on the other side. Then on this shot I used "fisheye" LensBaby lens, which unfortunately works more as an extra wide angle lens on Four Thirds DSLR cameras. However, it still gives rather interesting view.

So, I picked this one because I quite like the idea to look up, and trying to include the bark on foreground, and then the rest of tree on background. Do notice the bird house on bottom left corner ;-)

EDIT: Picture improved a little on PicMonkey few minutes after contribution. I made it a little lighter, sharper, and added my signature.
