HFF from Keukenhof

In the middle of Keukenhof flower park lies the famous Keukenhof windmill. This mill is one of the most photographed mills in the Netherlands. It is a so-called tower mill and was built in Scharmer in 1892, and was originally a ground-sailer and functioned as a polder windmill. In 1975, the windmill was moved to the grounds of Keukenhof. The windmill is now used as an ornamental object but can turn and has sails of 17.90 metres.

Yes, I saw many windmills when I was there Herb, but this was the only one I was able to look inside. There were some great views of the bulb fields from up there. I have only been to the Netherlands twice, but I like it very much.

Jaap has told me in the past of another place similar to Keukenhof, but free and not so many tourists.....can't be bad!
