I like the main image Rosa..........which has lovely light and nicely contrasting shadows. I especially like the light where it catches the top of the railings. The pastel colours of the sea and sky are gorgeous and I think Judite's comment (above) sums it up the best.

The image in the PiP is beautifully sharp and detailed, and the beachfront and distance cliffs look wonderful in the sunshine. The garden looks very attractive too. A lovely place for a walk I suspect.

I was amazed by the lovely coastline of Filey Keith. I don't think 5 days in Yorkshire was long enough. I would love to have a closer look at the unusual cliffs. Yes the gardens were lovely and very well kept.

Thank you very much Edna. As I mentioned to Keith, 5 days was not enough in Yorkshire. The Filey coastline is very interesting and I would love to investigate it further. Next year maybe!!

Lovely view of the Yorkshire coastline I don't think I have been there it's very popular, if you go that way again you need to venture inland, I hope you have had a nice start to the week Rosalyn another damp dismal day with periods of rain :((((

Thank you Peter. I hope to go there again. I have been to Yorkshire quite a few times, the first being in1984 when we took a caravan all the way up! This year was my first visit to the coast though. Wet and windy here too. Good night.

Hey Rosa, I love both shots!!! great to see the sea in both shots. the main shot is so nice, the light post in the center and the railings taking us downward... a good POV for both images.

As you say Rosa, Filey is a most attractive and interesting resort with its fishing harbour. We have had some of our best fish-n-chips ever sat on the harbour front. That is quite a different view down the ravined walkway rom you here. The bottom picture towards Filey Brig brings back great memories for me. Well done.

From the bus station, I didn't know what to think Herb, but finding my way to the steep descent to the coast, and the beautifully kept gardens on the way, I thought it was a delightful place and I loved the distant cliffs. I think another trip up north is on the cards!

Despite all my annual holidays and family visits to Scarborough throughout my childhood, I was never taken to Filey! A case of being so near yet so far. Nice photos Rosa.

Thank you David. I liked Filey very much. I was the same with Weymouth. My father used to take us there every Sunday during the summer, but I am still finding places I never knew of.
