A lovely open landscape. I love the curves and hollows in the land. Has a river flowed through there sometime in the past.

As I mentioned to Joe, it is much steeper than it appears in my photo Jean. I don't think there was ever a river. The River Stour is fed from Stourhead (where else) which is a few miles west of this part of the downs. I am curious now, so will have to try and find out!

I agree Amelia. Even travelling along the A303 I love to see the Wiltshire Downs. They are so beautiful.

I love this view Rosa...............people (including me) often refer to a "patchwork quilt" of fields and hills and this is exactly that, except that the quilt is is a bit rumpled up in the middle. The light is quite lovely and you have captured some super definition in the clouds.
