Colors of the Seasons ... Red brilliant feathers of .. A Northern Cardinal, spotted .. In the dry seed stalks of False Sunflowers and Cosmos .. He isn't the only one in there .. The House Finches have left the nest - Seen feeding on the deck - Trying to convince Poppa that they don't know how to feed themselves, yet - He'll buy that for a little while, then fly off into the White Ash tree - Needs some 'alone time' - Wondered why I didn't get fussed at in House-Finch-speak - When I went out front today ! 10 July 2016 ** The left photo was posted earlier with Mom and the newborn .. to the newest House Finch of the Neighborhood - think there is another in there, but couldn't see for sure - Poppa Finch has been by to feed both Mom and the kids - this is the 3rd brood [ i think ] - there are lots of House Finches around here - some live in 2 different Fir trees - but, this nest is right out my living room window - great for observation - © All Rights Reserved
