And yes.... some people have "The Gift"

Have met many who have 'the gift' -- a friend in Florida lived in an apartment where the washer/dryer were in a laundry room to be shared by all tenants.
A cat used to follow her over and wait with her while she did the laundry -- then, walked back to her apartment. Never tried to go inside -- it as as though he was her night-time guide.
She could talk to any animal -- and they listened!
