Really odd...
Florida is known for bugs... large bugs. Being somewhat tropical, it isn't unusual to yell "hit the dirt" when a CR-747 is spotted (cockroach.. large). Some folks call them "Palmetto bugs"... really don't think the folks living in that town would like to be named after a dinosauer of a bug... but, will have to research that and get back to y'all!
This is neither a Palmetto bug nor a CR-747...... just what a Nightblooming Cereus flower looks like when all it's glory is gone.
